The Motor Capable Of Changing The World

Even once Dagny and Hank have proven to society that the John Galt Line was a tremendous success, Jims elite group of friends continue to go after Dangy and her intentions to not only save her railroad company that she truly cares about, but also the rest of worlds economy. I do not fully understand Jim's role in this situation. I am aware that Jim is continuously getting more jealous and annoyed by his sisters success, but at the same time, I know that he would not take risks to hurt the progress of his own company. Is Jim content with the new success that comes from the John Galt Line? Or is Jim just too annoyed by Dagnys triumph that he is now going out of his way to work against her with his group of friends?
Regardless of who is working against her, Dagny is determined to find out who created the motor that will change the railroad business and world as we know it,  in order to save her company. After she found the motor while on a vacation with Hank in an old abandoned factory, Dagny has gone out of her way and not stopped once to find the engineer capable of creating this motor. I believe that her search for this motor will lead her directly to John Galt. So many clues hint off that he could have taken a big part in the responsibility of the making of this motor.
While Dagny speaks to philosopher Hugh Akston, he mentions that third student that never has a mentioned name. Akston also warns Dagny not to waste her time trying to find this man, and then foreshadows that he will come and find her when he wants to. Why else would this man refuse to give Dagny the information about the engineer that built the motor... and why else would he warn her to stay away and to not waste time. This man clearly does not want to be found, until he chooses to be found.
